While Caitlin & I were able to chat with some of the Glee cast out in the hallway, Darren Criss was eager to get into the after party so he could meet everyone that was waiting inside! Darren, bless his heart, spent nearly all of his time taking pictures and signing autographs in the after party room. Most of the cast out in the hallway left when we did, but Darren stayed behind at the after party until every single person had a photo, an autograph, and a memorable conversation. You’ll be hard-pressed to find someone more appreciative of his fans.
When we went back into the after party to chat with him, he gave me a big hug and said it was so nice to finally meet me! I was a bit confused since I didn’t even think he knew who I was, so I said, “Wait. How do you know who I am?” He replied, “Are you kidding? Everyone knows who you are. There’s a reason you’re back here.” I could have tackle hugged him on the spot, but instead Caitlin got her second hug from him, the first being out in the hallway when I told him that she was a Starkid. After they chatted about LeakyCon and the upcoming Harry Potter film premiere (which he said he’ll be attending in London, by the way), we thanked him and said goodbye, then we made our way back to the metro station. All in all, it was a totally awesome day.
